CIKALO, Michael "Mike"
October 27, 1923 – March 6, 2018
Passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018 at Heron Terrace at the age of 94 years. He will be reunited with his loving wife of over 61 years, Katyryna (2008). Cherished father of Bogdan and Margaret Cikalo of Waterford, MI and John and Catherine Cikalo of Midland, MI. Loving grandfather to Robert Jr, Lisa, and Jeff. Adored great-grandfather to Logan, Lauren, and Mason. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings in Ukraine and is survived by many nieces and nephews in Ukraine. Mike was a founding member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church of Amherstburg and a parishioner of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church of Windsor. He was an active member of the Ukrainian Senior's Zolota Zhoda. He retired from General Chemical in 1988. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Seasons Amherstburg and Heron Terrace for their wonderful care and compassion throughout dad's later years. on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Friends and family are asked to gather on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Drive, Southwood Lakes Windsor) from 9:30 until time of Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Officiating the service will be Rev. Fr. Tom Hrywna and Fr. Peter Hrytsyk. Interment to follow at St. John Baptist Cemetery in Amherstburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church building fund. Cherished memories may be left with the family at

Deepest sympathies to all the family.Mr. & Mrs. Cikalo were our neighbors for a few years when our family moved here from Ottawa,and were some of the nicest people in town. Also, Mr. Cikalo would visit my Mom when they were both at Season,s.Such a nice man, may he rest in peace.
