Michael Edwin Averill
(Mike):
Passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital, on August 16, 2017, aged 81. Beloved husband of Valda; dearly loved father and father-in-law of Sally and Hamish Cunningham, Wendy and Duncan Holden, Doug and Liarne Cartridge, Jane and Tony Hazlett. Adored " Grampy" of his 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A service will be held for Mike at Nelson Christ Church Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Nelson, on Monday, August 21, at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kind Hearts Trust, a/c# (reference- Mike). Messages c/- 41 Nile Street East, Nelson.

Take care Valda, thinking of you and your family. I always found Mike a true gentleman and a wealth of knowledge. I certainly enjoyed working with him and very much appreeciated his help. I am very saddened to learn of his passing.
