Michael BROWN Obituary

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Peta, loved father of Sharron and Steve, Angela and Bob, and Darryl and Shelley, adored grandad of Grace and Richard, Lily and Tyler, Sam, and Taylor, Haleena, Lexi, Michael and Emma.

Special thanks to all the staff at Christchurch Hospital for the wonderful care and support given to Michael. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Michael Brown, c/-P O Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A service to celebrate Michael's life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Wednesday, April 17, at 12.00 noon, followed by his burial at the East Eyreton Cemetery, South Eyre Road. You are also warmly invited to celebrate Michael's life at "The Platform", 468 Mandeville Road, Ohoka, from 4.00pm onwards. Feel free to join us at "The Platform", even if you're unable to make the funeral service.

Condolences to Sharron Angela & Darryl on the passing of your Dad. It's such a sad time loosing a parent.
I did not know him personally but he was my 2nd cousin on the Rountree side and I keep the Rountree tree throughout NZ.

Westport Trotting Club

The Westport Trotting Club pass on condolences to the Brown family following the passing of Mike. He will be long remembered as a regular at our race meetings and certainly enjoyed both success with his horses and especially loved to tell stories and socialize. Mike will be missed by everyone here on the coast.
