Born October23, 1951, Christchurch, New Zealand. Passed to God peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, aged 72 years. Beloved husband of Irinka Britnell for 38 years, Brother to Peter Britnell, Garry Britnell and Carole Knowles, Brother-in-law to Caroline Britnell, Dot Britnell, Barry Knowles. Donna Imeri, and Philip Pophristoff. Uncle to Sally Britnell, Mandy Britnell, Jules Trappit, Gary Knowles, Sharon Webber, Shaun Britnell (deceased), Paul Britnell, Nicholas Britnell, Joanna Hansen, Lara Britnell, Zana Imeri and Aljus Imeri.

Michael was deeply loved and valued by his family and many friends. He will always be in our hearts.

Thank you to all who helped Michael during his illness. Email messages to the Britnell family to [email protected] . A Funeral Service for Michael will be held at the Johnn Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 1.00pm followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Guests are invited to the Rolling Stone, 579 Colombo Street, Christchurch at 4.00pm, for Refreshments, music and memories.
