Michael BODGER Obituary
Michael Paul (Mike):
Peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice, Christchurch, on Monday, July 25, 2022, aged 72. Dearly loved dad of Danny, Jordan (deceased), and Alexis, and father-in-law of Chole. Much loved grandad of Layla, and Arlo. Loved son of Maureen and Selwyn (deceased). The family would like to thank the staff at Nurse Maude Hospice for their wonderful support given to Mike during his final days. Messages may be addressed to [email protected]. A private cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mike's life will take place at a later date.

Go well Mike. I have such fond memories of many happy primary school years where we were in the same class and you were known as `Micky´. Always a good swimmer and tennis player as well as a being a good mathematician. Our Dads Selwyn and John dressed in gym frocks and long binder twine plaits and stole the show at the parents versus kids netball competition one year. Our school days were so much fun and you will always be remembered by the Hororata community. My deepest condolences to your family.

My sympathy to Mike's family. I enjoyed my chats to Mike as I floundered my way up the Whakatane Pool while Mike pounded back and forwards. A great guy who offered his time generously to the swim community, he will be sorely missed.
