Michael BEECROFT Obituary

On August 15, 2023, passed away unexpectedly at home, aged 71 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Craig and Nikki, loved brother of Marjorie, and uncle of Paul, Aimee, and Sam, loved son of the late Ron and Bertha. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Mickey Beecroft c/- PO Box 39127, Christchurch 8545. The Service to celebrate Mickey's life will be held in our Christchurch Crematorium Chapel, 65 Vickerys Road, Wigram, on Monday, August 21, at 10.00am.

I can only hope there is only one Mickey Beecroft!! An absolute character. A naturally talented and dangerous fast bowler, especially at Kirwee. Might best be described as a `Jessie Ryder´ type character. Mickey wasn´t quite as good a rugby coach, or at least not with the West Melton U18s circa 1985, but he led us on an educational end of season trip to the West Coast. Fond memories.
