Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by his family. Dearly loved husband of Jill, loved father and father-in-law of Rodger and partner Deb, Michelle and Pommie Jon, Kyle and Wendy, loved pop of Melissa, Frazer, Kacie, Cody, Jackson, Elodie, and Edward. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Michael Austin, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch, 8545. The Funeral service for Mike will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Thursday, June 1, at 2.00pm.

To Jill & Family,
We moved to West Melton in 1998 and were neighbours for 15 years. I remember going over to the Stables one day and asking Mike if he needed a hand with the Horses. He said yes, but you will have to bring your own wages. I said that is OK. I spent the next 15 years helping out. We had alot of laughs and Jokes at Morning Tea. You were a GREAT Man Mike, RIP
