Melva KEMP Obituary

On February 11, 2026, Melva passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Mervyn, much loved Mum of Marilyn, Christine, Tony, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Tom, Shelley, and Andrew, loved mother-in-law, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Great-Great-Grandma. A talented pianist, who shared her love of music with her community, bringing joy to many. Special thanks to all those who looked after and took care of Melva at both Bainswood and Charles Upham. A service to celebrate Melva's life will be held at Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on February 21, at 2.30pm, followed by private cremation.
