Melva HADLEY Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, aged 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Alan. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Michelle and Tom, Rob and Viktoriia, and the late Stephen. Much loved Nana of Jenna, Logan and Gabby and treasured Great Nan Nan of Caelan, Archer and Indie. Loved daughter of the late Myrtle and William Jones, loved sister and sister-in-law of Kelvin and Doris (deceased), Ian (deceased), Vinny and Merle (deceased, Lenny and Rangi (deceased), Monk (deceased) and Glynyss, and Doris, loved sister-in-law of Bill and Marj (deceased), Maurice and Alison (deceased), Ngaire and Bruce (deceased), Daph, and Vic (deceased). Our grateful thanks to the wonderful staff at Memory Care, Summerset at Avonhead Retirement Village and Medical Assessment and Medical Progressive Care wards, Christchurch Hospital for their loving care and support of Melva. Messages to the Hadley family C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. In lieu of flowers donations for Dementia Canterbury would be appreciated and may be made online only via their website. A celebration of Melva's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.
