Melissa EDKINS Obituary

I knew Mel from our nursing days together. I have always thought highly of her both professionally and personally. It saddens me to think she is no longer with us. Rest in peace my friend. Thinking of Mel's family especially her children, take care of each other.

I was very sorry to hear of Mel's passing. I met Mel when she was little and then nursing I did not know Mel well but what I remember was her smile, her warmth and easy engagement with those around her which not everyone can do.
I believe there is nothing in this world that saddens us more then the loss of a loved one and my heart goes out to you all and Mel's children. Again so sorry.

Dearest Mel,
You will be so missed, your laugh was contagious and your cuddles were the best. You played your heart out on our semi final and won our game for us but in True Mel style you played it down and said it was nothing it was team effort but really it was you that brought the win home for us. You were such a proud Mum, your children mean the world to you and what amazing children you have.
I wish things were so different, thinking of you all so much. Much love xxxx

Our heartfelt condolences to the family, we will miss Mel and her many visits here forever remembered with our love.

So saddened to hear this news. Mel and I worked together 2004-2005. We had lots of fun and weekends away including her trying to teach me to waterski. I'm so sorry to all the family for this terrible loss.

My sincere condolences to Mel's whanau and tamariki, Farewell and let your precious soul rest easy, Thank you for all the support and encouragement you gave me to be the great man I am today. Bless your soul.

I nursed with Mel and we had our babies around the same time. I will remember those years fondly, especially her contagious laugh. She was much loved and will be very much missed.

I played Netball with Mel to include Masters as well. She was a mid court player and a good one too. She was such fun and we had loads of laughs. A beautiful, strong, loving woman & a proud Mum of her children, she will be missed. Rest now Mel xx
