Melanie BIRD Obituary

Passed away peacefully with mum at her side on December 21, 2023. Dearly loved daughter and step-daughter of Gaeleen and Trevor Robb. Loved sister of Craig, Marc, and the late Bruce. Adored and cherished friend to many.
Stoic to the very end, we will always love and treasure you.
Special thanks to Evelyn and Bruce Hille for their absolute commitment and loving care of Mel.Sincere thanks to all the staff of Village Palms and the nurses of St John of God Halswell for their exceptional care of Mel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated and may be made online at https://www.spca.nz/centre/christchurch-centre Messages may be addressed to "The family of the late Mel Bird" C/- 19 London Street, Richmond, Christchurch 8013. A service to celebrate Mel's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London or Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, at 1.00pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

I wish I would have know about the service as I went through school with Mel and she was a very good friend. Christmas was not the same without Mel being there. I am very sorry for your loss. Jamie Hoffman
