Megan BOSWELL-HORE Obituary

Although I did not have the honour of personally meeting Meg I know of Meg, Meg's fight and her loving family through my Daughter who attended Christchurch Girls High School alongside Meg. We recently enjoyed your beautiful music at the Riccarton Market Richard as you played to raise awareness for Meg. My Daughter spoke to you just after. Meg has often been in our thoughts. Today we heard of Meg's passing. A sad day. Deepest condolences to Mariyln, Richard, Amy and all your family. May you rest in peace Meg. Victoria & Claudia Bouvet - Christchurch

Meg had such life and presence that her early death seems like such a weird trick of fate. She was so clearly loved and added such joy to the lives of her friends and family. My thoughts are with you. (Annie-Rhiannon's mother)

I had the privilege of meeting Amy and her lovely mother through CanTeen many years ago , I remember Amy being a awesome big sister to Meg and you all being such a lovely little family very sad to hear of Meg's funeral . My thoughts go to you all at this time , sending hugs PETRINA GREGG

Meg, the world you and I shared each week in the little office in Memorial Ave, was a world of words and warmth. My life has been enriched through knowing you. I send you more words with heartfelt love and many hugs. ej xoxox

Please come this way
The young man said
I saved this place for you
Capacious it is not
But oh what joy it holds
The smell of words infused the air
It felt so familiar
As did the well worn chair
Pillars of books
Haphazard comfort
No further invitation required
I sank into the welcoming hollows
Plump, fringed cushions
A soft place to fall
A world I knew
No need to talk
No thought of pain
My hunger sated
My lexicon ever-growing
Eternal
My world
Imaginarium
Each character
Each scene
Each page
So precious
Each holding a nugget of the life I knew
Of those I loved
Their open arms
My haven
My place of rest
So accustomed to this vista
These kind
Loving
Faces
My library is burgeoning
Like my heart

I had the privelege of meeting Meg - just the once, and not long before her last illness, she was a lovely, vibrant, totally impressive person. Deepest sympathies to Richard, Marilyn and Amy.

Marilyn, Richard, Amy and Marg, So so sorry to hear of this news. There are no words. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that we are all thinking of you. It was a pleasure to met Meg at work. She certainly was bright and bubbly and a true joy. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
