Dear Janet, I am so sad to hear of Max´s passing. My thoughts are with you and the girls. I remember Max as an enthusiastic, very funny, kind and helpful friend. You must all miss him greatly. I trust you are comforted by the many wonderful memories you will have of him. I have lots of vivid memories, among them being his love of all the birds you looked after, his wonderful display of models he had put together, and most personally to us, the lovely way he interacted with our boys. James remembers so fondly the toy machine gun Max crafted ingeniously from steel off cuts. It was a beloved and much played with toy. I was a little concerned to encourage anything to do with guns, but Pat and James were having none of it. An amusing side note is that our daughter, Bella, is getting married in Idaho, in July, to a lovely young man who is part time in the military. One of the pre-wedding activities being organised is target shooting at a gun range. James is very excited to have a go. He has never lost the thrill! But let me assure you that it has never led to any violent tendencies in any of our boys. You could not meet more peace loving adults if you tried. They are all doting fathers themselves now. Please pass on our love and sincere condolences to Kristina and Jody. Thinking of you at this difficult time, Jay and Pat.

Go well Max, you were so very kind to me. My favourite memory I´ll hold on to that really made me laugh was you were eating lunch, and asked if I wanted some - I said no and you laughed and said well that´s good because I spat in the bowl already, I´m so pleased I said no! you enjoyed showing me your car collection and I so loved seeing it!
Much love to Janet & family Breannah xx
