A belated condolence from the NZ Shareholders' Association. Max was a founding member of the South Island branch of NZSA, based in Christchurch. He played a major role on the branch executive committee for many years. He was the NZSA proxy holder at numerous company meetings, with forthright questions on behalf of NZSA. He also served as a director on the NZSA national office for several years. Max was a regular attendee at branch events even until the very end, and will be greatly missed.

Hi Cheryl,
I recently heard the news and am so sorry for your loss. Max was such a great friend to my father and if there is any silver lining it will be that they are no doubt running amuck together in another life. I will always be grateful of the assistance you and Max provided to me navigating after Lester passed. All the best from the Gold Coast. Ross Alderson

We only met Max and Cheryl up at Kaiteriteri a couple of years ago, and we thoroughly enjoyed their company. Den and Max enjoyed a whisky or two and they reminisced about all aspects of life. Max left a lasting impression...his bright bubbly personality, his sense of humour and...his political views! We will miss him and extend our love and support to Cheryl.
