Peacefully at The Oaks. Dearly loved wife of the late Russ, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Laurelie and John, Brent and Christine, Dene and Tanya, and the late Merryl, loved grandma of Karla; Corey and Shane, beloved sister and sister-in-law of Valerie and Bryan Donaldson. The family wish to acknowledge the care extended to Mavis by the staff at The Oaks. Messages to the Mitchell family, c/o PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. At the family's request a private cremation has been held.

Will be missed by all

A wonderful mother inlaw and grandma Mavis to Shane and Daryl (deceased), great grandma to Ella, Eli and Ash. Her love of animals was renound and always the first person to ask advice when one of the animals got sick or was injured. Rest peacefully Mavis with Russell.

I'm so sorry to hear of your passing Aunty Mavis . When I saw you last , a couple of weeks ago . You were so happy I brought in Bruster to see you and your Xmas present and photos. Bruster gave you a kiss right on the lips . You laughed and said ''that's what I was waiting for ". Little did I know when I lent over to give you a kiss on the cheek . It be my last . You were the best Aunty and my Children all remember you and your kindness and all the animals you rescued. Your going to be very missed by all of us . Rest in peace Aunty Mavis and enjoy the reunion in Heaven with the Family
I have enclosed the last photo I took of Aunty Mavis . My thoughts are with Brent , Laurelie , Dean and Family at this Hard time .x
