Maurice LEES Obituary

So sad to be hearing of this now. A man that was funny and always put me up high, he wouldnt let me down myself in any way. My thoughts especially with audrey, she must be so lost without him. I wish id had a chance to visit him now that i was in chch. To me, audrey and maurice were like my second parents. A man whom i can honestly say i never saw mad, even with us annoying giggly teenagers. A man ive known since I was 4 years old and im 64 now. Another mighty bloke gone. Thank you Uncle Mole for being a constant in my life. For your kindness, willing to help and share knowledge, your warm and loving welcomes and of course your standout humour. When I was a nervous, terrified young teenager I decided to be like you because everbody liked you. A decision that stood me on good stead.

A special thank you that I know Dad would give if he was here - for being his best mate and partner in petty crime as youngsters. He loved you as a brother not only a brother in law. Here's to the 75 or so years of friendship you both enjoyed.

You will always be missed by me, although I'm glad I'll never have to see your false teeth again!
