Maureen BAYNES Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Radius Millstream, Ashburton, on February 4, 2025, in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Ernie Bird, and the late Allan Baynes. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Sue Letham, Rose and Greg Trudgeon, the late Christine Bird, and the late David Bird. Loved stepmother of Jeanette and Jack Harmer. Adored Nana of Nicholas, Andrew, and Cameron Letham and Emily; and Letitia and Logan Smart; and Kurt, Jon, and Brett Harmer. Treasured sister and sister-in-law of Brian and Laraine Goddard, Jim and Sheila Goddard (Christchurch), and Kathy and Mike O'Malley (Waikanae). Cherished by all her nieces and nephews. Messages to the family of Maureen Baynes, PO Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A service for Maureen will be held at St David's Union Church, Allens Road, Ashburton. on Tuesday. February 11, commencing at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.
