Matthew QUIRKE Obituary
On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Matthew passed away, aged 46 years. Much loved son of Barry Quirke and Gendie Nobbs and stepson of Grahame Nobbs. Loved brother of Joanna, and Richard Quirke, loved nephew of Helen Peate, Alison and John Anderson, Barbara Taylor, Anne and the late Richard Peate, Anne and Robert Liddell. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Matthew Quirke, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A Private Cremation has been held. The family invite family, friends and mates to a gathering to farewell Matthew, to be held at the Papanui Club, Embers Restaurant, 310 Sawyers Arms Road, Christchurch, on Thursday, September 27, 4.00 - 6.00pm.

It is with great sadness that I hear of Matts passing today! As an old school friend from St Andrews Matt was a great friend of mine and we had loads of fun together. Unfortunately I lost contact with him when he moved schools but I'll always remember him as one of the fun crew - full of adventure and intrigue with a witty sense of humour and a mischievously generous outlook (older than his years). Wish I could be there to say farewell but grateful for the time we shared together growing up. Love to all with regards Guy Reardon.
