Matthew Brian (Matty):
On December 5, 2022, passed away suddenly, in Brisbane, Australia. Aged 46 years. Dearly loved son of Lois and the late Wayne, much loved and adored brother of Melissa and Blair. Special grandson of the late Margaret, and Allan Courtney and the late Tom and Desley Brian. Much loved nephew, cousin and friend to all that new him. A memorial service to honour Matty's life will be held at The Old Stone House, 30 Shalamar Drive, Christchurch, on Monday, December 19, 2022. Service will commence at 4.00pm. Messages to PO Box 18916, Christchurch.

Sorry to learn of the passing of 'Hemi' as he was known to some of us at school in NZ. Great to read that he had moved on to a new life in Australia and become an important contributing and supportive member of the post-transplant sporting community and even now had a scholarship in his name.

Thank you Matty for being such an inspiration to us all. We will all miss you terribly. We are so grateful for all of the joyful memories, I will hold them in my heart forever.
