REEDY, Mathew Thomas (Matt) (Regt No. 71653 Corporal, 37 Bn NZ Army, WW2: Pacific) formerly Chief Postmaster of Christchurch - Passed away peacefully on December 12, 2012 at Nurse Maude Hospital Christchurch, in his 96th year. A dearly loved husband of the late Joyce, and of Rona. Loving father and father-in-law of Pat and Kevin Whitelaw, Peter and Sue Reedy, Sue and David McLean, Rosemary and Kevin Crawford, Diane Reedy and Ray Anderson; stepfather of Bob and Diane Hancock, and Jan and John Field-Dodgson. Loving grandfather and step-grandfather of his 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a loved uncle of his extended families.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Peters, Fisher Avenue, Beckenham, Christchurch, on Saturday, December 15, at 11.00 am. Rosary at St Peters on Friday, December 14, at 7.00 p.m. An interment will be conducted at the Kororo Cemetery, Greymouth on Monday, December 17 at 1.00 p.m.
