Sister Mary Thecla RSM
(Maureen Mary):
On November 2, 2015, at Park Lane Retirement Village, surrounded by her loving Mercy Community, aged 95 years. Dearly loved member of Nga Whaea Atawhai O Aotearoa, Sisters of Mercy New Zealand, in the 76th year of her Religious Profession. Dearly loved daughter of the late Mary and Denis Pearce, loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Father Bernard, the late Agnes and Arthur Kelly, Rona and John, Kathleen and Gilbert Clarke, and a much loved aunt of her nieces and nephews. A respected and loved member of the Lyttelton community. Special thanks to staff of Park Lane Retirement Village, Middlepark Rest Home and Nazareth House for their caring support of Thecla. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Church, 106 Main South Road, Sockburn, on Friday, November 6, at 1.00pm, followed by interment in the Waimairi Cemetery, Grahams Road. A Vigil Service will be held at Mercy House, 31 Peer Street, This Day (Thursday), at 7.00pm.
