Mary HAZELDINE Obituary
Mary Isabel (nee Barratt):
On Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village, Christchurch. Dearly loved wife of Frank (deceased), loved mother and mother-in-law of Graeme and Maree, Mark and Beverley, Alistair and Monique, loving and caring grandmother of her nine grandchildren and their partners, and her nine great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at the Harewood Crematorium Chapel, Wilkinsons Road (off Gardiners Road), Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 1.30pm. A single flower to place on Mary's casket would be appreciated. Messages to the Hazeldine Family, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A special thanks to the staff at Burwood Hospital Stroke Ward and Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village for their care and support of Mary.

MARY :-), like a glorious, vibrant Monarch butterfly in the garden or a white, delightful Alpine forget-me-not in the mountains so did you touch numerous lives. An amazing lady with a heart of gold who could inspire with your precious nature. You indeed made us welcome every time in your own cordial way. We felt just so much at home surrounded by your charming smiles and gorgeous humour. Aunty Mary, you had this heavenly gift of entertaining people young and old. The world lost sadly a beautiful, caring and extraordinary woman and dame in you...

I was saddened to hear about Mary. She was a lovely, kind, gentle and humble person. I have many happy memories of her as a loving mother, mother-in-law and nan. She is resting now with Frank.
