Mary DOYLE Obituary

DOYLE, Mary Lorraine(Lorraine) - On August 6, 2014, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 86 years. Loved daughter of the late Halord and Bess Wilkinson, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Annmaree and John Cochrane, Rosalie and Mark Radburnd, Denise, and Peter. A much loved nana of Dion, Nicole, Michael, Paul, and Connor. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late Lorraine Doyle, C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. Special thanks to the staff of Ward 24 at Christchurch Hospital.
I would rather have one little rose from a garden of a friend,
Than have the choicest flowers when my stay on earth must end.
I would rather have a pleasant word, in kindness said to me,
Than flattery when my heart is still and life has ceased to be.
I would rather have a loving smile, from friends I know are true,
Than tears shed round my casket when this world I bid adieu.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Carmelite Monastery would be appreciated and may be made at the Mass. A Funeral Mass for Lorraine will be celebrated at the Carmelite Chapel, 52 Halswell Road, Christchurch, on Monday, August 11, at 10.00am. Rosary will be recited in the Carmelite Chapel on Sunday at 5.00pm.
