What a beautiful funeral and tributes for Maryanne yesterday. I had to hurry out so missed on speaking to any of you. She will be remembered as someone who certainly made a difference at a time when not always acceptable!!!!! A free spirit! Remembering you all in prayer and care. Anne-Marie

Dear NZ cousins and spiritual sisters of Mary Anne, my deepest sympathy on your loss. I will treasure my memory of her as a most kind and generous person who clearly had a special place in her heart for refugees, migrants and others without a voice in our communities. I have no doubt she was a very special sister to you all.

Dear Cahill Family, As a Marist Sister in Karori where your brother Father Michael lived for 25 years I remember your mother and met you all at the time of Fr Michael's death, so I send you my loving sympathy and assurance of my loving prayers.

My sympathy to you all, Sister Maryanne was a special and loved teacher at St John's Darfield.

Mary Anne will always be remembered by me as a person of rare and perfect goodness. A lady who had compassion for those in need and gave willingly and generously of herself. Mary Anne, thank you for your friendship. Paul Cotton

Beloved and loving friend and member of the Catholic Women's Movement for 27 years and a valued member of the Core Group. Dear Mary Anne we shall miss you and are privileged to have known you. You were always so positive, affirming, helpful and encouraging and courageous in challenging un-Christian behaviour by those in authority.
You bubbled with happiness and were always sunny and smiling. We mourn your passing. God bless you.
