Mary BOWRON Obituary

Mary's life began in Glasgow, Scotland on 9.6.1950 and finished in Christchurch, New Zealand on 27.7.2025. Mary grew up in Albany, Western Australia before spending 6 years in the Australian Airforce. She then travelled the world, eventually meeting and marrying her beloved husband Geoff in 1986 and moving to the farm at Waiau, New Zealand. For the last 39 years Mary has been a passionate farmer, conservationist, local historian and community volunteer. Mary is the much-loved mother of Doug who, with Nicola, now runs the farm. A loved sister of Marg and John. A loved sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Thanks to the staff at Nurse Maude Hospice for their care and support in Mary's final days. In accordance with Mary's wishes for a minimum of fuss, a private cremation will be held.
