Martinus JAGERS Obituary

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, passed away peacefully at home, aged 68 years. Martin was a loyal and devoted husband, father, Opa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Born December 23, 1956, in Christchurch, Martin had a long and fulfilling career as a software engineer, with a passion for and many accolades in long-distance running. He enjoyed travelling the world with his siblings and late wife Donna Jagers, before settling down to have a family. As a family man and friend, he was a constant pillar of strength, wisdom and love. His ability to make others feel supported was one of the many gifts he shared with those around him. In later life he found love again with wife Leah Mitchell and enjoyed helping others in his community by volunteering for several charitable organisations. He will be sorely missed by the many whose lives he touched.
