Martin HOWMAN Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Martin on March 29, 2023, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 79 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Merilyn and her children Joanna, James, and Sarah, his daughters Emily, and Abigail, and grandchildren William, and Alice. He was a loving son, brother (survived by his sister Venetta), brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, and friend.
'He was a great man who could tell a great story'.
We would like to thank the incredible team in the Intensive Care Unit, your love, care, and support will never be forgotten. Special nod to Miles, Georgia, John, Naomi, and Dr Tom. A Memorial Service for Martin will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on April 17, at 2.00pm.

I first met Marty in 1963 when we were conscripted into National Service.
We became life long friends and shared our memories on many occasions.
Great times at the Commerce Club.
Marty had a wonderful sense of humour and was a true gentleman.
I will miss your friendly banter Marty.
