Martin BROWN Obituary

BROWN,
Martin Gregory (Marty):
17.11.1963 - 12.05.2022

Marty passed away peacefully following a heart attack. Loving husband and best friend of Angela, amazing Dad to Reuben and loving Brother to Christine. Marty was a dearly loved son and brother of the late Brown Family of Voss Street, nephew, cousin, brother in law, uncle and beloved friend to many. Marty's laughter, smile, Dad jokes and large personality has filled all our lives with joy. A Celebration of Marty's life and laughter will be held on Friday, 20 May, at the Woolston Club, Hargood Street, commencing at 2.00pm. We would like to thank the amazing staff at ICU who showed the most kindness, compassion and professionalism while Marty was in their care. Flowers respectively declined. Donations to St John and the Heart Foundation would be appreciated and may be made directly. For those wishing to watch a livestream of Marty's Celebration may do so via the following link: https://youtu.be/PALNhKk9mCI

So sorry to hear of Marties passing. We remember him with fond memories. Always had a smile on his face and enjoyed a good laugh. Was a privelege to have played rugby with him. Our condolences to his family.

Dear Ange and Reuben,
My sincere condolences for the loss of Marty. I found out on Sunday and am still in shock. I always remember Marty as the one who was always laughing and making jokes. Even though we no longer moved in the same circles I knew that if we ever met up it would be as if we were back in the days of touch rugby, and taking the mickey out of each other. I know he will be dearly missed by everyone - he will always be a big part of my touch rugby memories. I'm sorry that I can't be there to celebrate his life with you (in isolation) but I know it will be a special day with lots of laughter. I will be there on the livestream and thinking of you all tomorrow. KJ
