Our thoughts are with the Baldwin family at this difficult time, Martin shared a room with my Dad Mike in PMH before Xmas and Martin, Dad and Ross caused quite a stir :-)... Martin hope you and Dad get together for a beer, RIP love and prayers the Hurley Family

BALDWIN, Martin Michael:
Passed away on Saturday,
April 11, 2015, in his 70th year, in the care of Nurse Maude Hospice, with family at his side. Martin fought a brave fight with cancer. Much loved son of the late Bert and Ellie Baldwin. Loved husband of the late Joan, and much loved father of the late Wayne. Much loved brother of and brother-in-law of Angela and Graeme, Gerardine and Stephen, and Bernadette and Mel, Kate and the late Raymond and the late Catherine. A respected and loved uncle and cousin to his very large extended family. 36 years in a wheelchair, Martin made the best of his world after becoming paralysed following a freak accident while at work in the Shotover Valley. Walk free now Martin, at peace. Messages to the Baldwin Family c/- Angela, PO Box 42, Hari Hari, West Coast. Martin’s funeral service will take place at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Kaiapoi, on Thursday, April 16, at 1.00pm. A vigil will take place at his home in 31 Picton Place, Sovereign Palms, Kaiapoi, on Wednesday at 7.00pm. Following his church service, Martin will be laid to rest beside his wife and son at the family cemetery at Tuahiwi.
