Passed away as result of an accident on June 1, 2025. Ex partner of Margot, loved father of Dougal, and Ted, loved grandfather of Stella, Standish, and Jasper, adored friend of many. Messages to Mark's family can be left on his tribute page at thompsonfd.co.nz A time to say goodbye to Mark will be at Thompson's Riverside Chapel, 88 Gibson Quay, Hokitika, on Sunday, June 8, between 12noon and 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Sorry to hear of Mark's sudden passing. I worked with Mark as a Meat Inspector back in the late 70's early 80's at the freezing works in Belfast. I have a lot of good memories from those times. RIP
