Joanne just messaged me to let me know Mark had died. It is very sad news. He would still be in the prime of his life at 63. Growing up in Belfast was amazing and I am sure Donegal St had the coolest kids definitely some of the best swimmers. We all move on in our lives but our childhood memories last forever. Sending lots of love to you all. Xxx

I have just read of Marks passing and would like to pass on my sympathy and shock to all of Marks family.
I coached both Mark and Brent during my years of coaching young men at Belfast Rugby.

My first love at Belfast Primary School. We both were sporty and always seemed to be in the same class. Time spent in the back of our parents Falcons in the pub carpark. We remained friends through sport in our 20s and 30s and he attended my wedding. Tried to meet up with him in the last year but sadly not to be. A great friend who will be missed by many. Love to June and Beavon
