Marion BARRETT Obituary
On March 23, 2022, at Methven House, in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of Viv for 66 years. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Catherine and Murray Dickson, and Julian and Kathy. Loving Grandma of Tammy, Nathan and Claire, Karl and Sarah, and loving great-Gran of Cooper.

I am deeply saddened to see the notice of Marion´s passing. Marion used to be my piano teacher about 55 years ago! I would be dropped off to your family home after school from the bus for my piano lessons !! I remember Marion with fond memories as she was a very kind caring understanding lady who encouraged me to practice and develop my piano practical and theoretical skills. Although I didn´t really follow on to be a great pianist I can still sit down and sight read some of my favourite more simple pieces and I
have often attributed this to her teaching. Music has always been a love of mine and I still think of her with fondness of her patience and support as a wonderful pianist and teacher.
May you be surrounded with comforting memories of her at this time , may her music live on in your families lives
