I am very sorry to hear of Marinda's illness and passing. I know she will be greatly missed by so many. She was a very kind and giving person, she volunteered and helped coach our ladies masters basketball team in Adelaide. I also had the pleasure of playing basketball with her. My sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

I was lucky enough to have Marinda as my manager at Burnside high school for all 5 years! I will always remember her for her kindness, generosity and gentle spirit. Every girl who came through burnside basketball was blessed to have had Marinda. She always made time for us and had lollies at her office! We definitely kept her hands full with the injuries on tournament and the general drama of looking after high school girls. Even after high school Marinda and I would occasionally still keep in touch and I was always so happy to see her around at cowles stadium. Marinda thank you so much for always supporting me and the warm hugs, you were always there for me and I´ll always remember that. Sending much love to the family, we were all so touched by Marinda and many of the girls are so saddened to hear of her passing.

Marinda was such a kind and caring person and an awesome Basketballer. We were blessed to have her as our Myths and Legends teammate and friend. We will never forget the time she opened her house and heart to us when we stayed with her and Don and got to meet her beautiful family. You will be remembered as a true legend of the game.

This was a terrible shock. She was a great presence in basketball in Christchurch and always a lovely lady to talk to. She will be greatly missed by the local basketball community. Condolences to her family.
