Marie SHAW Obituary

On November 1, 2024, Marie Shaw sadly passed away. Marie was the dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Anne and Brendan, Richard and Karen, Christopher and Kristin, and Claire and Gavin. She was a beautiful grandmother to Nat, Alex, Lucas, Ngaio, Rata, Maddie, Lily, Jack, Izzy and Harry. She recently became a great-grandmother to Delilah. She was also a loving aunt and a wonderful friend to many. Messages may be addressed to the Shaw family, C/- John Rhind - 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013.

She will finally be joining her husband Rue, who has been waiting patiently for her.

A Funeral Mass for Marie will be celebrated at St Gregory's Catholic Church, 26 Cotswold Ave, Bishopdale on Monday, November 11, at 11.00am.

Shaw Families. Steve and I have been in Australia recently and I have only just seen your mum´s death notice in the Church Bulletin. You may not remember but your mum was our first neighbour when we moved next door to you in Gladson Avenue in 1987. She made us very welcome and although we have not been in touch regularly, she was always interested in how we were doing anytime we caught up with each other. Last time was probably a year or so ago. Please accept our sympathy on the loss of your mum. We were very sad to read this.

Shaw Families. I have just read of Marie´s passing in the Marralomeda newsletter. Marie was so good to me giving me somewhere to stay on many occasions when I needed to visit Marralomeda.
Always had a Trumpet ice cream in the freezer.
A wonderful caring lady, I´m lucky to have known her. Jackie. Rotorua.
