Marie PURCELL Obituary
On July 5, 2017, peacefully at Homestead Ilam, aged 86 years. Loved daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Purcell and sister of the late Steve, Greg, Ray, and Tom. Marie is survived by her brother Brian and was a very much loved aunt and faithful friend. Messages may be addressed to The Family of Marie Purcell, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. The Requiem Mass for Marie will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 90 Greers Road, Burnside, Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11.00am, followed by burial at Avonhead Park Cemetery, Hawthornden Road. A Vigil will be held at the Church This Day (Monday), at 6.00pm

My fantastic music teacher at Sacred Heart College, Christchurch. Miss Purcell started me as a nine year old and encouraged me through all my music and theory exams to Grade eight level......with good results, one theory exam being 100%. In later years we met often at Christ the King parish.
