Marie McGOLDRICK Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Burwood Hospital, on July 18, 2023, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Len, mother and mother-in-law of John and Joan, Phillip and Alison, Anne, Bryn and Leanne, Suzie and Ross, Mel, Sam (dec) and Clare, and Mark and Maria. Beloved Mamma of her 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Rest in Peace Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Carmel McGoldrick, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. At Carmel's request, bright colours are to be worn. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Catholic Church, 90 Greers Road, Burnside, on Monday, July 24, at 11.00am, interment thereafter in the Avonhead Memorial Cemetery. The recitation of the Rosary will be held in Christ the King Catholic Church, on Sunday, July 23, at 7.00pm.

What a woman! What a life!
She was so welcoming to this naive Gore boy back in the 70s and ran an impressive realm. Coped admirably with a remarkable line up of offspring and was so proud to always tell me about the myriad achievements of them and theirs. Such good company.

Thinking of you all at this time. Carmel was a vivid character in my teenage years and intermittently throughout all the many changes and challenges since. Remembering my friend Sam at this time and thinking especially of
