Hi Aunty Catherine, I'm sorry we did not or were not able to contact you in time for mums funeral. We tried to get across as many folk as we could. But thankyou for your thoughts. The funeral was a lovely time of remembering mum. If you would like a copy of the audio I can arrange for one to be sent to you. But you'll need to contact me privately at [email protected]
I still remember the railway picnics with fondness. My best wishes to you and Uncle Dick and the boys. Regards, Duane.

Dear Gloria Miller NEE Bradley,

Hi, thank you for the lovely msg about mum. I showed the family your text and everyone was thrilled to think that friends from long ago would still remember mum. The funeral went well, mum was much loved and we are very proud of her and thankful for having been blessed with her as our mum and friend. I also met Mary Columbus (i can't recall her maiden name sorry) but she was apparently my God mother and knew mum well from early on in her childhood also. So it was great to meet her. If you (or anyone) wants a copy of the service (audio only sorry) please contact me [email protected].

Again, thanks for the contact.
God bless. Duane Kuru. Marie's son.

Ps. If the msg appears twice it's only because my phone died during posting the first effort so I've entered it again. Cheers

Dear Gloria Miller NEE Bradley, thank you so much for the contact. I read your msg to the family and it was very encouraging to know mum had such dear friends who remembered her so fondly. Another woman, Mary Columbus (I have forgotten her maiden name) let me know she was also a great childhood friend of mums. In fact she might be my God-mother. You may know her? Anyway...it was nice to.meet her too. Mums funeral went well. We were very proud of mum, she was a great mum and friend, she was well remembered and celebrated. A recording of the service is available (audio) should you want to listen then let me know.
Ok. God bless. Duane Kuru, Marie's son. x x x x

Hi Mum, just wanted you (and others) to know that the girls and I miss you greatly but we are happy you have finally gone to be with the Father. It comforts us and we need that because you were a great mum and friend to us all. We are pulling together and I believe God-willing, we will be an even tighter family after this. Ma... my sincere desire is to see you again. And I thank God for that opportunity.
Love you. Your Son Duane. PS. We miss Dad too.
