Marie HILL Obituary

On Monday, October 6, 2025, peacefully, at Nurse Maude Care Home, aged 91 years. Loved wife of the late Graeme, loved Mum and mother-in-law of Barry (deceased) and Raewyn, Paulene and Colin, Lynley and Pete, Leanne and Paul, treasured Nanna, and Great-Nanna of Jenna, James, Samantha, Robert, Julia, Sarah, Victoria, Oliver, Emma, Lucy, and their families, loved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Marie Hill, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In recognition of their consistent care and kindness, in lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude would be appreciated, and may be made online at nursemaude.org.nz. The funeral service to celebrate Marie's life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, October 11, at 2.00pm.

Dear Marie, we will miss you. You have been part of our family through Lee, a respected and loved mother and grandmother, a role model for how ladies should be. You always had a smile, and a kind interest in our family. Christmases and family get togethers will not be the same with you gone. Be at peace with Graeme now.

I am so sad to hear of your loss. I know Marie was very much treasured and loved by you all. I knew Marie as an extremely dedicated and dependable wife, mother, grandmother and mother in-law. So gracious and kind. It was a privilege to have met such a lovely lady. How fortunate you were to have her in your life. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. God bless.
