Maria LUKAN Obituary

Like Miriel, my sister Barbara and I played with Maria in the Mitre basketball team.
Maria was very bubbly and friendly, and a very elegant lady.

To Tony and Lee-Anne, sorry to hear of the passing of your Mum. Maria was an original member of the Halswell Womens Basketball Club which started back in 1969. Maria carried out many years on the Committee, in also taking on the Roll of President. We spent many yearly trips on the Friday night train to Greymouth and over the weekend would play against the local women teams. Lots of wonderful memories were had over the many years you were with the Club. RIP Maria from the members of the Halswell Womens Basketball Club.

Had many a good night in the back bar of the Mitre with guitar in hand singing an Many good times with her involvement of the Mitre Tavern Ladies Basketball Team plus trips away .

To all of maria!s family.MARIA was my best friend,I new Maria for over 30 to 40 years,we Played Indoor Basket ball for her team The Mitre Tavern and i will always hold Maria in my heart.A very strong determined attractive Croatian Lady.Marias celebration of her life was carried out with aplomb.Rest in Peace now Maria Fly high my love is with you.
