Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Bishop Selwyn Care Home, Christchurch, aged 82. After a courageous 17-year journey with Alzheimer's, Margit finally came to rest, with her son Adrian and friend Heidi by her side. Margit was a beloved wife to Barry, loving sister to Helly and Stephen, devoted mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother to Adrian, Ally, Ava and Zeta, and a dear friend to many. An open memorial celebration will be held at South West Baptist Church, Lyttelton Street, 1.00pm Thursday, July 17.
