On April 8, 2026, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Geoffrey, beloved mother of Andrew, Robert, and Sarah, mother-in-law of Wendy, and Richard, cherished grandmother of Aidan, Daniel, Georgia, Jacob, and Matthew.

Margaret was one of the people responsible for establishing the Christchurch Newcomers Group.
Who met every Thursday at the Crockford Bridge Club in Riccarton Road.
Margaret also held this class at her house many times during the school holidays.
Margaret aways had charming and happy personality
My deepest sympathy to the entire Sweet family.
