Margaret STEWART Obituary
25.11.1932 - 6.4.2025
Passed away peacefully at Selwyn Bishop Hospital. Beloved wife of John Stewart (deceased) and daughter of Lex and Rita Borrell (deceased). Much loved mother of David and Claire, cherished grandmother of Alex and dear sister-in-law of Ro and Barbara (Australia). Margaret will also be sadly missed by her extended family including cousins Anne, Adele and Sylvia; and friends particularly Margaret and Liz. Margaret lived a life of kindness as a devoted, graceful, wise, family member, friend, community member, and great reader and book lover. At her request she has been cremated and a private service will be held.

I came to know Margaret during the 1970's and 80's when John was a member of the Values Party and then worked with him on the "NZ Monthly Review". Margaret was a wonderful, quiet and supporting wife to John in all his endeavours. RIP.
