Margaret PAMPHYLON DUMERGUE Obituary

On Friday, December 19, 2025, at Fitzroy of Merivale (aged 90 years). Dearly loved wife of the late David Dumergue. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Ian and Ceridwen, and Elizabeth and James. Loved grandmother of Sophia and Evan. Special thanks to the staff and carers at Fitzroy of Merivale for their care and support. Messages may be addressed to 'Margaret Pamphylon Dumergue's family,' C/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entrance from London or Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Tuesday, December 30, at 10.00am, followed by a private burial.

I was so sad to read of Margaret´s death. Visiting her at St Albans Street and later at Fitzroy on behalf of The St Andrew´s College Ladies Circle was a joyful experience. I found it fascinating to listen to her vivid stories of her past life and then those of her re-homing back in New Zealand. She was a lady not to be forgotten!! .
