Margaret Joy (Joy):
Passed away peacefully, at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Home, on August 26, 2016, in her 87th year. A loving and devoted wife of the late Ken for the last 63 years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Derek and Pam, Michael and Karen, and Megan. Grandma of Emma and Ken, Sarah and Paul, Andrew and Selina, Holly, Theo, Jack, Louis, and great-grandma of Hannah, Isaiah, Olivia, Amy, Sophia, Mathias, Stella, and Freddy. Messages to the McCormack Family, c/- PO Box 31300, Christchurch 8444. The Service to celebrate Joy's life and faith will be held in the Opawa Baptist Church, 285 Wilsons Road, Waltham, on Thursday, September 1, at 2.00pm.

Dear Megan, Michael and Derek,
My sincere condolences to you and your families for the passing of Joy. You know growing up and spending time together as families I will always remember your Mum as having such presence and a voice with terrific timbre. Both your Mum and Dad were great conversationalists and always appeared to speak with such confidence and authority. As a youngster I somehow found this comforting and reassuring. I'm so very saddened by their passing. Thinking of you all and hoping your find comfort with each other, your families and friends.
