DONALDSON,
Margaret Rose:
Suddenly, but peacefully at Southland Hospital, on Friday, September 21. Beloved wife of the late Alex. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Liz and Brian, Robbie and Kris, Karen and Paul, Bonnie and Wayne. Loved nana of her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Loved sister, aunty and friend to many. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Te Anau Medical Centre and Southland Hospital. A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held in the Elmwood Gardens Function Centre, on Tuesday, September 25, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Messages to 32 Kiwiburn Place, Te Anau 9679.

I have always liked the word 'gather'. It feels hopeful; natural and very human. It's a word that embodies many of the simple things that we do every day. Today, as a family gathered to respectfully honour and farewell Margaret (my Aunty) please be assured I too wish I could be gathering with you at this most important of family gatherings.
Defeated by time and distance please accept my condolences.
