She was an amazing woman whom I loved dearly. An inspiration to all who knew her, she was always encouraging, always there, and seemed to have endless energy. She loved wholeheartedly and gave so much of herself to others.

Creative and talented, she took great joy in making beautiful outfits for our two girls, gifts that were made with love and care. She also had a competitive spirit, and I will always smile remembering our game nights - Lee-Ann, Margaret and myself teaming up against the men.

She is at peace now, reunited with her father in heaven and with Don. I will miss her deeply, but her love and memories will live on forever.

I met Margaret at Knox Church Waimate, and found her a real inspiration and woman of great faith. I also had the pleasure of her joining the Waimate Senior Citizens and was sad when it was time to be closer to family in Christchurch

Even though we weren't in the same country it was always felt. You were such a strong light and immensely joyful in your soul. Your laugh was infectious and your ability to not take things too seriously was only one of my many favourite things about you.

Everyone who got to experience your cups of tea, fresh bread and cookies, was a truly blessed person.

Dearest Mum,

You have left an indelible mark on our hearts both now and forever. Esther, Sam, Matthew, Marie and I agree that someone who could always whip up calorie-dense desserts in a jiffy AND make everyone laugh out loud with stories of shaved eyebrows at age 13 has to be a super-nanna! You were that and more. The world will feel so much emptier without you, dear mum. And as you wore your faith so openly on your sleeve, so we also will wear the memory of you on our hearts. Till we meet again, your family in Australia.
