Margaret Kay (Peggy) Boroff
Margaret Kay Boroff (Peggy) was born in Toledo, September 9, 1946. She was raised in Old Fort, by her parents, Edgar and Lelah Brown, both deceased. She married Jerry L. Boroff on September 16, 1966, and they resided in Union County for 50 years before moving to Port Clinton in 2019. Peggy graduated from OSU and then earned an MBA from the University of Dayton. Peggy passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Peggy was the loving and proud mother of two children, Becky and Todd (Ainslie) and the grandmother of Josh (Ashley), Justin (Deina), TJ and Nathaniel (Kristie). Peggy was the loved great-grandmother to Noah, Pressley, Cierra, and Kody.
Peggy was a devout Christian and served the Lord in many ways, including as a social worker. Her passion in life was creating quilts. For several years, she headed the quilt guild at Marysville Cornerstone Global Methodist Church and personally made and donated over 500 quilts. In addition, she long-armed over 200 quilts a year for the guild. She has helped train many people to quilt, and some have developed a passion like hers. During retirement, she loved to travel in their motorhome with her two dogs and husband, visiting every state in the lower 48. She spent her summers at their home in Houghton Lake, Michigan, where she shared many happy memories with family and friends.
