Maree WILLIAMSON Obituary

Dear the Williamson family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful granny/mum. I absolutely loved having her in the salon for her regular haircuts and she will be very missed.

To the Williamson Family, sending you all my deepest condolences on the passing of your amazing mother. Your family were probably my parents dearest friends as I remember and that continued throughout their lives. On my trips back to visit Mum in South Brighton, Maree would always stop by to say hi and bring some of her fabulous baking. She was an amazing friend, always smiling and full of enthusiasm and zest for life. So sad to hear of her passing, love to everyone.

Maree was an important part of our lives, being one of my mother Hilary's best friends we were fortunate to see her and feel her warm, wise and calm presence. The last time I saw her was a few months ago at the Nelson Arts Festival - at that time she was excited about the wedding and being together with the family. And Maree was incredibly proud of her family, rightly so, and this is the gift that she has given to us all.

Maree did a great job of keeping Sister Leonie´s "class of 54" in touch with one another after our 60th reunion.

This is ever such sad news and my children and I send you our heartfelt sympathy and love.

Maree was the most beautiful person and meant ever so much to our family - and has done for as long as I can remember.

I am not overstating it to say that she was adored by us. My son, then 6yo, encapsulated it when he said, "I love Maree and she is so soft".
