Really sad news to read about the passing of Lew who was a real character who I worked with way back in the 70's at B R Homersham Ltd. Lew's technical abilities were second to none which reflected in his successful business expertise. My sincere condolences to Lew's family on Lew's passing

Deepest sympathy to Marilyn and your family. Lew was certainly a lovely man and although we didn´t catch-up with you both very often, it was always great to have a chat. Lew was always interested and not just interesting.

We first met Lew in 1977 when he and Peter Jones put in an irrigation system for us when we were farming at Brookside. He was a nice man and obviously very capable, so deserved of huge respect. We've caught up with him a couple of times since, and he was that same nice person we first met 48 years ago. Our condolences to the Austin family. Sue and Jim Upston

I was so sorry to read this. Lew was a genuine great guy and I enjoyed knowing him. He made a real impression on me as a young man, many years ago when I took over my uncle´s business after he passed away. I was proud to call him my friend until this day. Condolences to his family. Walking in Austin Bluewater will be not be the same without his smile.

Hi Melissa and family.
My Sincere condolences on Lew's passing. He was a bloody good guy, with a great passion for sport (rugby) and business. He was a staunch Cantab with a healthy weariness of Aucklanders ;). I did have to remind him, most times I was talking to him, that I am originally from Invercargill!
He'll be remembered for years to come.
My thoughts are with you and family.
Love
