Lesley SUTHERLAND Obituary
Aged 88 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Bryan Sutherland, and Mum and Mum-in-Law of Bill and Linley, Nicki and Gert, Nigel and Luba, and Andy and Sally. Loved grandmother to her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The memorial for Lesley will be held at 2.00pm on Friday, July 4, at the Holy Innocents Anglican Church Hall, Amberley.

I have know Lesley most of my life - our family grew up on Ferry Road and shared many happy occassions with the Hastings family. I am a friend of Carol - my sister Judith was friends with Lesley and was bridesmaid at her marriage to Bill. I remember visiting Lesley, with Carol, at the Rapaki Road home. We would bike to the bottom of the hill and then trek up to the house. Lesley was always so welcoming and we loved sharing the time with her and the children when they were little. Whenever I have met Lesley I have always found her so welcoming with a great interest in all that was around her. My daughter, Sarah, taught at Woodend and also enjoyed meeting Lesley and Bryan through the schools contact with the bowling club. As a family you have been so blessed to have Lesley as your Mum and I am sure you will miss her greatlly. Love, Glenda Burt (nee Shaw)
